ABOUT COMMUNITY MEALS
Providing a safe, welcoming community space for all is at the heart of what we do, where nutritious three-course meals are served restaurant-style by volunteers who know your name. After a guest survey, we implemented a hybrid style Community Meals: guests can choose based on their circumstances to take their meal to-go or eat in our dining room. We serve over 180 individuals a night, a 12% increase compared to the previous year.
What makes our Community Meals unique?
Meals are served restaurant style by volunteers - including seconds!
Toiletries, pet food and clothing are available upon request.
No sign up or ID is needed - everyone is invited to a place at the table.
Everyone knows each other by name and social interaction flows
freely between staff, volunteers and guests.
