ABOUT OUR EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY

Sometimes, a little help is needed between paychecks or SNAP distributions. With rising costs, more working class families need assistance, and many don’t qualify for assistance at other pantries or from SNAP.

Our Emergency Pantry bridges these gaps. This year so far, we’ve provided over 80,000 meals just through our Emergency Pantry.

We use a grocery store model which allows all of our guests to choose items that meet their family’s cultural preferences and dietary needs.

About 75% of the food that we have in the pantry is rescued from local grocery stores and restaurants, diverting millions of pounds of food from landfills.

As the hub of food and community in the Merrimack Valley, we bring other non-profits and local service providers space to speak with our guests and share their resources.

We have an indoor waiting space which allows our guests to have a space, dignified, and comfortable space to share with our staff and other patrons while waiting to shop.

Pantry Details:

  • Emergency Pantry orders include up to three days of food for each household member. You can request diapers, toiletries, clothing, and other necessities.

  • No referrals or IDs are required.

  • Families and individuals can access our Emergency Pantry
    Monday - Thursday 11AM-3PM.

  • Individual families choose their items by shopping through our pantry to select proteins, fresh produce, dairy products, and pantry staples for their order.

  • Pantry services are not available Friday - Sunday.

  • No ID or paperwork is required.

What makes our pantry orders unique:

At least 3lbs of fresh protein 

Frozen meal components for families and individuals living in spaces that don’t give them access to a kitchen

Fresh produce

Staples such as oil, flour, sugar, tea and coffee

Prepared meals and non-perishable items for our unhoused citizens
